What the browser desk does

File Room is operated by Dark Vector Cognition LLC. When you choose or drop a file here, its contents are read and inspected in your browser. The desk does not upload selected file bytes, filenames, fingerprints, previews or reports to us.

The app does not create an account, file history, analytics events, advertising profile, cookies or browser-storage records. A file fingerprint is calculated locally as part of inspection. No inspection report is created automatically.

You choose whether to keep a report

If you request a report, it is generated in your browser. Downloading it is a separate action and saves a copy on your device. We receive no copy. Clear file or reload to release the app’s references to the selected file; this is not a promise of secure memory erasure. Browser extensions, your device and downloaded copies have their own behavior.

Visiting the website still uses the internet

Vercel hosts this website and delivers its application files. Web requests expose connection information such as your IP address, requested page, browser information and time to the hosting infrastructure. Hosting providers may process or retain operational and security logs. This differs from uploading the file you select for inspection.

We have not enabled application analytics or a file-upload service on this website. Hosting data handling is described in Vercel’s privacy notice. We do not promise that a website visit leaves no infrastructure record.

Assistant packages and the future API

Using a downloaded MCP integration can place inputs and results in your assistant’s conversation, subject to that provider’s policies. The separate service API is a development build and is not active on this public website. Its data handling is different from this browser desk. See the integration guide before connecting an assistant.

Contact and privacy requests

Email hello@darkvectorcognition.ai with “File Room privacy” in the subject. An email shares the information you choose to send with DVC and its email provider so we can respond. Please describe your question without attaching confidential or suspicious files. Because the desk does not upload your inspected file, we do not have a server copy of that file to retrieve or delete.

This notice describes the current browser service. We will update it if that service changes.
